WOF Story of the Month – Aleksandra Karpowicz

Aleksandra was shortlisted for a Women of the Future Award in 2015 and ever since she has embraced all the opportunities which have been offered to her as a result of the shortlisting.

I was shortlisted for the Women of the Future Award in Arts & Culture a few years ago. Ever since, I’ve been a member of this remarkable community of influential women, determined to collaborate on the professional level as well as supporting young females in their career. This is a network of the most inspiring people who truly understand the meaning of empowerment. Through WOF I have met a great number of incredible individuals from various industries who don’t only continue to inspire me but also supported me and my work on a number of occasions. The network gave me also a lot of fantastic friends and collaborators which I’m truly grateful for.

Being shortlisted for the WOF Award was a turning point in my young career as an artist. Such a fantastic recognition gave me great confidence in my art and its mission. It also has opened me many doors to new opportunities. I will always admire WOF founder, Pinky Lilani, who has created this incredibly powerful network of people with vision and good intentions. Being part of the WOF family is one of the most wonderful experiences of my life.
