Story of the Month – Amy Durrant

Amy Durrant was shortlisted for the Media category of the Women of the Future awards in 2017 and has embraced all aspects of being an alumna, from being active within our Network events to speaking to students as part of our Ambassadors programme.

“Becoming a part of the Women of the Future network has been one of the most remarkable honours and a true privilege.

As a finalist in the Media category of the 2017 awards, I met so many kind, talented women who were pushing the boundaries of what’s possible not only within their industry, but society. To be counted among this group of collaborative, trail-blazing women who want to build each other up and help those around them is something rare and a real light along my career path.

Through the network, I have had the honour of becoming an Associate Fellow with the Royal Commonwealth Society – championing human rights and LGBTQ+ equality around the globe. I’ve met HRH The Duchess of Cornwall and been invited to speak with various members of parliament about how we can elevate technology and creativity within schools, and been part of inspiring the next generation of young women at St Albans High School for Girls. All of this is down to the kindness and generosity of Pinky Lilani, the entire WOF team and all the ambassadors. Thank you for welcoming me into such a loving family.”
